The Call for a United Body of Christ

By Tyhill27

Just think of the impact it would make on your town or city if every Christian church in your area came together in unity! The leaders would meet together on a regular basis like the apostles of the early church to plan and pray for the city. It's happened in the past when an entire city was overtaken for the kingdom of God. The devil and his kingdom of evil is greatly increasing on the earth, and urgency must be established for God's people to unite as the body of Christ. There is only One church or body of believers, just as there is only One true God, and One Kingdom and One ruler of it, who is Jesus Christ. If Christians would only take hold of their destiny and dream big, the sleeping giant can be awakened and overtake the power of darkness. There is so much the church does not understand and I shall start with the seven mountain theory.

With the seven mountain theory it is absolutely possible, that in unity the kingdom of God will rise in power on the earth. It is precisely the same way our enemy has taken control of the earth. The seven mountain theory is the seven sectors of society that if overcome will completely control the nation. The seven sectors are family, education, government, media, entertainment, religion and business. Every person in the church works in one of these areas, and has an opportunity to take ground for the kingdom of God if we only dream big enough, work hard enough, and set goals! This is not a new idea and certainly not an easy task but I believe the more unified we are, the easier it will become to overtake the problems of society on a large scale!

To better understand the challenges set before the church I would like to briefly mention each mountain and the evils that corrupt them. Starting with what I think needs great attention is our education system. The theory of evolution being taught as fact in our public schools has damaged the faith of more people than I believe of any other concept. Charles Darwin himself did not even believe in his own theory before he died and said "it was only an idea." I have some very good resources for believers who want to know more on this subject. The next big issue that the church needs to face is the breakdown of the family. The morals in the family have been ruined with the issues of abortion, same sex marriage, disrespect among children and parents, and divorce. I am sickened by it all! The media is selective, deceptive and bombarded with bad news, and even our government needs help. Was not America founded on a unified body of Christ, and is it not written on all currency "In God we Trust." How many Americans and leaders since then have breached that trust? Hardships will always follow sin and disobedience to God! Entertainment, religion and business are the last sectors of society and if the Church is unified I have no doubt that all of them will be impacted greatly. Hollywood is a major influence to the world either good or bad. Just look at what unity has done to other large religions in the world and they don't even have the all powerful creator on their side. And last but not least business is the last sector of society, and I must say that I have seen major breakthrough in this area.

I asked Peter Daniels, a Christian billionaire from Australia what the greatest obstacle was in a unified body of Christ between Churches and denominations and he said, "Sin". Sin in the church is the greatest obstacle. I will talk more about this in my next article titled, Steps to a Unified Body of Christ. Peter Daniels is one man who has risen to the top of the business mountain and he created a program called the Gabriel Call - economic rescue for the local church, by Peter J. Daniels and Dr. Robb D. Thompson". Mr. Thomson is the senior pastor of the Family Harvest Church in Chicago. The programs primary purpose is to equip Christians financially to fund the global church and the gospel around the world in numerous ministry projects. Without a doubt ministry needs to be funded and all people need it to survive in an economic world. The early church was no different as we read in the book of Acts 2:45, believers sold possessions and goods and gave it to the church.

If it's one thing we must understand as believers it's that nothing is going to happen unless we make it happen. As we read in the book of Genesis God gave the earth to man and then being deceived gave it to the devil. With God's help it will be up to us to get it back. God made that possible by coming to earth as a man named Jesus who has defeated the devil. All Gods people have left to do is completely separate ourselves from the kingdom of darkness and take our authority in the name of Jesus; to gather as One body of people and be completely obedient to our God! To have big dreams and accomplish great things for God! This is absolutely biblical and as we read the stories throughout the bible God does all his work on earth through man to build His Kingdom.

So what does unity among churches look like? Many believers cannot envision a united church and think the church today is in satisfactory condition. The church as a whole is far from good health and even though culture changes, God never changes. He's the same before he created the universe, today, and forever. Many Christians have never even thought of the possibility of the church working together in close relationship. I can understand some of the challenges in the past of breaking free from legalism and traditions, not that we have overcome these issues. I can also understand that many believers were raised in the church and it appears to be ordinary; however when we read the Book of Acts chapter eight the church started in unity and then become scattered. After the conversion of the Apostle Paul the church spread to many cities and nations in the Middle East. Over two thousand years later the church has not only spread but been established all over the world. It's time for the church to be united once again; in much greater unity than it is!

As the bride of Christ, Jesus is our supreme authority and our ultimate example to be followed. What better confirmation for a united body than the very words of Jesus Himself. Our Lord Jesus longs for a unified body of Christ. In fact, Jesus prayed this prayer to God the Father before he conquered death and was crucified on the cross! (John 17:20-23 NIV) "My prayer is not for them alone. I pray also for those who will believe in me through their message, that all of them may be one, Father, just as you are in me and I am in you. May they also be in us so that the world may believe that you have sent me. I have given them the glory that you gave me, that they may be one as we are one; I in them and you in me. May they be brought to complete unity to let the world know that you sent me and have loved them even as you have loved me." As followers of Jesus it is made perfectly clear that the body of Christ must be unified. How can Jesus be in us if we are not open to complete unity among believers? As followers of Christ it's essential that we are open to unity among churches and denominations.

Many believe that the greatest move of God has not yet happened; likewise the greatest move of our enemy must also take place. Satan has been working very hard to destroy this world and he knows his time is short. I believe the biggest reason the devil has been successful in a pursuit to destroy man is because his kingdom is united in purpose. It also must be true that unity has much to do with the successes within the United States of America. There is much power in unity! Just as an army groups together for battle, God is building an army of warriors on the earth. The entire bible is filled with scripture about this army and how we are to be trained. My favorite passage is Ephesians 6:10-20; the armor of God. In verse thirteen we read, "Therefore put on the full armor of God, so that when the day of evil comes, you may be able to stand your ground."

Without a doubt there is ground being taken for the kingdom of God. For example, the Dream Centre in Las Angeles. Tommy Barnett from the Phoenix first Assembly in Arizona had a dream from God to start this ministry and I believe it's just the beginning to a much bigger vision. The Dream Centre reaches out to about thirty thousand hurting people in the inner city, from the homeless, to pimps, prostitutes, gangs and the like. It's the beginning of an entirely new way church is done today with hundreds of people who live and work at the church. Just so you know, since the dream centre was founded the crime in that neighborhood has dropped over seventy percent! Hundreds of Dream centers have been started worldwide. Furthermore it would not have been possible without the gifts and donations made by Christians.

I am sure that you agree just how important unity is in the kingdom of God and His Church. It's a disgrace to God and believers that Christian churches live in the proximity of other Christian churches and have little or nothing to do with each other. The church was never intended to be divided but one body of people. Every Bible believing church in the world that professes Jesus as their Lord and Savior must be united together to form one church; one nation of people. No Church is perfect and all have their strengths and weaknesses but division must be overcome. Apostle Paul wrote letters to all the churches in the New Testament and none of them were perfect churches. Jesus told John in the Book of Revelation to write a letter to the seven churches of that time and they all had one thing in common. They were all one church but in many different locations. Also the church was addressed by city or nation. The Church must be united to restore our corrupt society within cities and nations. The Church is the bride of Christ, and Jesus seeks a united body. I would like to challenge all believers including you to be open to unity in the body and seek our high calling upon this earth. In bringing glory to the church we will bring glory to God!

There is one body and one Spirit - Just as you were called to one hope when you were called - one Lord, one faith, one baptism; one God and Father of all, who is over all and through all and in all. (Eph 4:4-6 NIV)

Nice job Ty! I love the way you closed it as well as the Scriptures you choose to include to illustrate your points.

I agree with Peter (this is the first time I've heard of him) in that sin is what is keeping the churches from being united....sins such as unbelief, pride, idolatry, legalism....lack of prayer is also significant.

Currently, my husband and I are supporters of a ministry located here in Wash. where the focus is very similar to the Seven Mtn you mention...the difference being instead of 'religion' it's churches. Arts and media are one category rather than two, and the 7th is healthcare. In some countries, that may not be a societal issue in as many ways as here in the U.S., but His light shining through the believers in those settings as well as divine healings certainly is significant, regardless of how good an in place system might be!

Thanks Christine, I really appreciate you comment! Thank you for adding in some of the sins that could be associated with churches being independent too. I have already started this next hub and this is very helpful! Also what is the name of the ministry that has a focus for this Seven Mtn? I first heard about this theory from Cindy Jacobs, and now I have a book about it from Johnny Enlow called the Seven Mountain Prophecy but have not had time to read it yet. Now that I think about it I wonder how healthcare would fit into the other seven... Anyhow, blessings to you and Thankyou!

Watchmanministriesinternational....not sure if it's ".com" or ".org"....Apostle Tim Taylor heads it up, after JC of course. He's written a book and has other teaching materials as well. His book is titled, "Operation Rolling Thunder." He and his wife Brenda are the greatest.

Regarding the sins, with the ladies from my church, I've been doing a Bible study by Beth Moore called "Breaking Free" and it deals with not allowing the enemy to keep us in captivity but living the abundant life Jesus came to give us....these are some of the sins which are obstacles and keep us in bondage and I think the unity issue is something that will come from people being in "one accord," which will come from experiencing freedom as individuals first, then the corporate body. I think of the church as a modern day temple and believers also as individual temples where the Spirit of the Lord dwells. Hope that makes sense. It would be miraculous if 100% of the individuals who make up the body were to be in one accord but I think it's highly unlikely that will happen this side of heaven....there will always be counterfeits, rabble rousers etc. However, I do believe it is possible for the majority to become unified and when this happens, what we can do (what He will do through us!) will be more amazing than we ever would have dreamed. I love that He's called you to make an impact on this subject as I know it is the desire of His heart for His bride to unite and let the little petty doctrinal and theological issues fall by the wayside...focus on the most important topic (JESUS) and then LOVE thy neighbor as thyself! We make the gospel so much more complicated than it was intended to be.

Thanks, I ordered the book Operation Rolling Thunder just a moment ago... I look forward to reading it, perhaps before this other book or few books I had lined up. I listened to Tim's overview of the prayer network and am hoping to use it for the city I live in, sounds like a good tool for bringing churches together for prayer! Yes I agree with you that being free as individuals is the fist and major step to unity in the church. I think that's why our Lord is going to cleanse the church! I have already witnessed this past little wile and was astonished at the response. The last two conferences I was at both had a very large alter call for Christians to come forth with sin in their life that needed to be dealt with. Both times I think over half the church went up to the front; I was amazed at what God was doing! Also Love is well covered in this next paper, so I think you will be happy about that...

This is a well written hub. I love how it flows and I agree also. Can the right foot go left while the left foot goes right? Of course not. There has to be a united front in the church. One mind and one accord just as the apostles on the day they were baptized with the Holy Ghost and with fire.

There are probably 15 churches within 20 miles of me where I live. Many of them and more from farther away have been coming together for about 2 years now holding revivals at different places every few months. The pastors meet once a month at one of the churches. There are many different denominations involved.

If only it can keep going without pride jumping in the way. Sorry to go on for so long, but I felt I had to brag a little, not on myself, but some of those around me. One thing is certain, we can't come together without Jesus Christ in our lives first.

Thanks SirDent for Commenting! I am encouraged in your testimony about your neighborhood and church unity present. I think that's so wonderful when the community is in line with the kingdom. In essence it’s a glimpse of heaven; to be kingdom minded with Jesus Christ as our king. I have certainly noticed that some places are much more open to unity than others. Blessings to you brother!

No offence, I know your post comes from the right place. However, this already exists it's called the Catholic Church. An unbroken line of succession from one apostle to the next and a unified teaching based on documented historical truths handed down from the earliest foundations of Christianity. We have the writings of the apostles and we know that they handed down their teachings to their successors/students throughout the millenia.

With all due respect Travis I am aware of the unity in the Catholic Church. In fact I have been doing some studying and admire it. There is a good reason why many Christians broke away from it and I think you know what I am talking about, but I believe God is doing a great work and if the whole body came together apart from any group who can't be called a Christian the church will become the most powerful force on earth. God has already preordained our future and it speaks of hard times in the last days, so it's hard to say what will happen for sure but one thing I can say about any leader. Matthew 7:15-27 A tree and its fruit & the wise and foolish builders. Even in the day of the king's there was good ones and bad ones. Thanks Travis, I respect your comment.

Debbie 3 years ago

Okay, I agree ty, unity is extremely important! What a loaded topic! I was raised a Catholic but now I am learning more about the Bible and the LORDS word from my Pastors. I am born again and serve the LORD. We gather at each others homes as well as Church and we always encourage others to join us. I know all souls belong to GOD and I leave it up to HIM to decide so I respect other religions as well. We need to come together to pray for Unity. The way to fight spiritual warfare "IS" to know HIS word, mediate on it, live it and put on the "full Armour" of God in "Unity" for we are worriers. Satan knows he is defeated and wants to take as many souls with him as possible. These end times are crucial we must tell our brother and sisters: The Bible says: Ephesians 4:2 Be always humble, gentle and patient. Show love by being tolerant with one another. 3 Do your best to perserve the "unity" which the spirit gives by means of peace that binds you together. This is what defeats the enemy. Bravo! Ty, Great hub! Looking foward to hearing more. GOD bless and Praise the LORD JESUS our Father, our salvation, our refuge, our Savior!!!!

Debbie 3 years ago

Father in Heaven grant us peace, grant us your wisdom to come together in Unity as we are patient, gentle, and tolerant of one another. We ask that all nations come together as one body and one spirit, for you our Father is all knowing and our faith is in you. Then the Angel said to me, "These words are true and can be trusted. And the LORD GOD, who gives his spirit to the prophets, has sent his Angel to show his servants what must happen very soon." Revelation 22:6 Christians unite He is coming soon.

Hej, this is great hub. I grew in underground church and later was also pastor there. We biblical believers also came together often, but many time secretly. The first church met also at homes. My church now is also "underground" church, (it is in the basement)  :-). I am planing visit all biblical churches here in the city. Please Lord give me the strength for this. Unity is number one goal. Of course Holy Spirit is initiator and Helper... Love you all.

This is a very good message. Very well worded. Just today I was reading my Bible and thinking about the shape the "church" is in today. I have gone to church many years and never in my life have I seen the things taking place as is today in this time, in the church. Every where I turn "churches" are splitting. The church I was going to last year split. I have moved to a new area and gone to five different churches and everyone of them have had a split in 2008.I am not looking for a perfect church, that doesn't exist but, we daily strive to be Christ like. I thank God that Jesus is coming back for the body of Christ, the real church and not a denomination. I sometimes wonder if this is part of the great falling away that God speaks of in the Bible.

There are so many hurting people. People hurting for so many reasons. Families split apart, lost their jobs, loved ones on drugs, not enough money to take care of their needs, etc...

As I read today in 2 Corinthains 7:9-10 I now rejoice, not that you were made sorrowful to the point of repentance; for you were made sorrowful according to the will of God, in order that you might not suffer loss in anything through us. For the sorrow that is according to the will of God produces a repentance without regret; leading to salvation; but the sorrow of the world produces death.

Some purposes are in giving, to abound in all aspects of Christian experience, to prove the reality of one's love, to imitate Christ and to help meet the needs of others.

2Corinthians 8:14-15 At this time your abundance being abundance being a supply for their want that their abundance also may become a supply for your want, that there may be equality; as it is written, He who gathered much did not have too much, and He who gathered little had no lack.

This is like what you were talking about in the selling of the possessions. That way if all were united, no one would be without.

Titus 1:15-16 To the pure, all things are pure; but to those who are defiled and unbelieving, nothing is pure, but both their mind and their conscience are defiled. They profess to know God but by their deeds they deny Him, being detestable and disobedient, and worthless for any good deed.

Titus 2:11-15 For the grace of God has appeared, bringing salvation to all men, instructing us to deny ungodliness and worldly desires and to live sensibly, righteously and godly in the present age, looking for the blessed hope and the appearing of the glory of our great God and Savior; Jesus Christ; who gave Himself for us, that He might redeem us from every lawless deed and purify for Himself a people for His own possession, zealous for good deeds. These things speak and exhort and reprove with all authority. Let no one disregard you

(2:12) ungodliness = irreverence, worldly desires=passions, overpowering attractions for the secular world.

(2:14) redeem us from every lawless deed. I,e., release us from the bondage of sin.

I don't know if you have read the post I put on hub-pages about the dream I had about the church. God gave me the interpretation of it and it is what is happening right now with the churches, body of Christ.

I pray for the many people that are seeking a shepherd because (and not all ) but many churhes have lost the real purpose of what God has called His body to do. Jesus is our shepherd and He will lead us if we will listen and obey.

Be Blessed in Christ and keep puttting out the word.

For the most part all that has been stated is truth! We must be careful not to give up on the truth! Denomations are not made by God but by man! We must seek out Jesus and follow him! How can we say that we are the church and not love one another. I don't mean love the evil within a person but to love the sinner! There is going to be a judgement and it is up to us where we will spend our eternity! Exvept the Savior Jesus Christ are all the rest doesn't mean anything. Sound hard! Not really! Its the truth as the Bible has told us! Do I speak out against anyone person God help me NO!

As Deane has stated above we all need THE Shepherd!

The reason why the early believers could be in one accord is because they all fit into a Honda. LOL roflol hahahaha.

I hear your heart on this and yet something is missing.

Seriously though, it was because of the purity of faith they had, the love they showed and the truth they knew.

They did not all just get into the same bed together (figure of speech) no matter what they believed and call it "unity." No, that is called being a whore!!! (not a figure of speech)

One cannot have real unity until the house gets cleaned out first. Until then, all the unity meetings in the world are a mixture of truth and lies. Somethings that was not tolerated by those early brethren.

And the closer you get to the truth, the less people will be attending any such meetings.

Without the judgment of God starting in the house of God first, you cannot have real unity. It is a fabrication!!!

If you notice they all had a tremendous fear of God among them, it says nobody just walked up and joined themselves to the church because they were terrified. Today we have anyone and everyone just walk right in and join up, get involved. Why? Because it has turned into a "seeker friendly church"...so purity is not required.

God is not "seeker friendly" never has been. A lot of folks walked off and left Jesus because He was not "seeker friendly” either. He said "follow Me and get crucified!!!”

That does not sound real seeker friendly to me!!! Ohhhhhh well.

Look what happened to the first people who were not pure when they lied to Peter and The Holy Spirit...they both dropped dead!!! I see nobody dropping dead in church when they lie. Go figure. God is not jealous over His people today. Why would He be? He gets jealous when they are pure.

Harsh words, and true at that. I think it might even get me tossed out of any "UNITY MEETINGS"

Shalom.

Tyhill27,

I appreciate your efforts in writing this hub. I see where Mr. Q is coming from too. My perspective is that the Church and the State (world) are separate (i.e. be ye holy), which tells me that in a free democratic society such as America where people are free to live as immorally as they wish, the Church needs to exercise Godly dominion in her own families, education system, media outlets, entertainment outlets, and businesses. It does no good to cry about the public school system becoming corrupt and teaching our kids immorality when we're suppose to have our own schools!

But the primary goal for the Church is always to seek and to save those who are lost - those within our individual spheres of influence, to lovingly evangelize all those who are willing to repent.

According to scripture, I don't see the Church totally cleaning up the world before Jesus comes back. Because He talked about the last days being similar to the days of Noah where sin was rampant: the ark of safety is the Church.

Jesus also said "For then shall be great tribulation, such as was not since the beginning of the world to this time, no, nor ever shall be. And except those days be shortened, there should no flesh be saved: but for the elect's sake those days shall be shortened. (Matt. 24:21-22)"

And like you said Ty, sin is a major problem in the Church and it needs to be cleaned up because the Lord is seeking a Church without spot or wrinkle. I appreciate your statements about the Church needing to unify as well - but like Mr. Q said, we need to be concerned about who and what are we unifying with.

It can only be with like-minded believers who don't distort the Word of God to make it say what they want it to say. Like Mr. Q says, that's where the need for an awesome fear of God comes in. People who don't fear God will undermine the Church from the inside out.

Thank you for writing about the successful efforts of those who are willing to evangelize God's way.

Continue To Be Blessed!

Thanks for posting that one brother. You bring some MORE clarity to the whole issue and topic here. Thanks man.

I hear very, very ,very few preachers and prophets exhorting (this means to insist and urge with extreme intensity in love) the people of GOD to repent and proclaiming any judgment in the church and yet this is RIGHT WHERE IT NEEDS TO START!!!...in our homes and in our congregations. We cannot be afraid to say it enough. We can not weep and mourn enough over our current condition and lack of holiness.

We have to many "programs" and "classes" and "conventions" and "seminars"...enough already with all that stuff!!!

It's just time for repentance and holiness and purity and sanctification and prayer for GOD to show us our condition. And to stop with all the "seeker friendliness" and return to "crucify yourself!!!" And let whoever will come, come and join themselves, but after only hearing that first!!!

And get rid of the "close you eyes and bow your heads and repeat after me" kind of nonsense!!! If one is coming to Jesus, they can do it publicly and let everyone know!!! That is the way of the first century believers, to confess Messiah in front of all or He will deny you and you plastic faith.

I must proclaim what this watchman sees as I stand on this wall and in the gap. Unity without holiness is nothing more than eating out of a kettle of steaming horse turds!!!

The time is NOW to repent and cleanse our hearts like James says. The Apostles were more interested in this than "unity"...because unity comes after purity and not before!!!

Thanks again brother!!!

Shalom.

Oh, and one more thing (don't mean to take up too much time and space here), but the Bible also talks about wheat and tares growing up together because of the Enemy (Matt. 13:24-30).

It seems like we as Believers are always contending with false-Believers (or those who are of the anti-Christ) in the Church, but God said not to mess with that because HE would separate the wheat from the tare at harvest time - otherwise we could do damage to the wheat if we tried it ourselves.

While it's good to be aware of what the Tares are doing, our only job is to be the best Wheat that we can be!

I hope this helps. Be Blessed!

Thanks so much for your response mr Q, and the fount. I agree with much of what you have said. Likewise Mr. Q, what you have said may offend some people, but Jesus offended lots of people who were not on the right page of the kingdom. We can not judge though the spec in our brother’s eye when we have a plank in our own. God is the only one with authority to judge the house. Unless of course it's not even biblical. Thank God for the bible! It all starts with us, as we examine our own selves to seek a pure heart. The Fount, how true it is that the primary goal for the Church is always to seek and to save those who are lost. If the church were unified it would have a much stronger voice among the lost. Jesus said that in John 17:20-23. I don’t know what a united church is suppose to look like in our times, or could look like if we truly feared God and practiced love as we are commanded too. The devil works very hard to split churches and create division. I on the other hand hate division and am all for church unity!

Sir, I find your comments so refreshing, especially the one about not knowing what a unified church looks like! I'm wondering the same thing myself!

I believe that because of the fact that I am indeed wondering what a unified church looks like, God keeps introducing me to like-minded believers such as yourself and Mr. Q - because as you know the church is not a building but WE are the Church, and our hearts being mutually focused on evangelism and loving people God's way has God's attention.

Dear brothers!!!....please hear me on this very, very, very simple yet overwhelmingly POWERFUL truth!!!

Both of you are wondering " what a unified church looks like?" The only division is between "pure and impure" and "the only judgment is that of GOD" not talking about HIS wrath, but HIS spankings and rebuke that come out of the mouth of HIS prophets to the leaders.

The answer is in the scriptures brothers, it's crystal clear and right in front of us. And a unified congregation should not be any different in modern times than it was in ancient times as far as what she does. Outside of we have different clothes on or modern technology etc.

Just read what they did and follow it. Even what happened and did not happen in the meetings is all spelled out for us, it is not complicated. When they all met in one accord, Shaul (Paul) said "let each one of you bring what GOD has given you, be it either your song, your hymn, your revelation, your teaching, your prophecy, your gifts, you exhortation etc...and let it be heard straight out, then let THE OTHERS JUDGE IT!!!"

That is a paraphrase obviously, but you get the picture here of a congregation teaming with the life and power of MESSIAH Yahshua (Jesus). It was not an blah, blah boring kind of meeting, the place was ablaze with GOD and all participated. Not 100 people meet and only one talks!!!

How dead is that? It's like going to a movie, you came you saw you heard you ate a snack and then you left, but you for sure did not PARTICIPATE !!!!!

I had a pastor interview me once who had been in the church 50 years and because I was telling him things he had not fathomed before he asked me in kind of an annoyed tone..."so then, what is your definition of a perfect church?" The answer I gave was right out of the scripture and he looked shocked!!! Like he had never heard of the place before.

So he exclaimed to me "wow!!!~~~If we did what you just said it would be revolutionary!!!" So I asked, "you mean like they were 2,000 years ago?" He then realized GOD had just pointed HIS finger right at him, his church and the whole of the body.

Sadly though, I was asked to leave that place because "I was to hard to understand and the pastors felt like I always had something to say that made them uncomfortable"...yeah, I bet they did, change is hard, staying the same makes one fat and dumpy, pretty soon you start looking like walking cottage cheese!!!...but it keeps the sheep coming back for more. LOL!!!

What they did not realize though, I was not doing the talking and on top of that, many bore witness to the words coming out of this donkeys mouth!!!

I prophesied right out loud in the place on one occasion and was told in 112 years no body has ever dared to do that and that not a soul disagreed with the words spoken.

Shalom,

The Watchman :-)

Ty, I loved this article and I agree. However, I believe that the Holy Spirit has already begun his work with the unification of the churches - as the example shows here and if we all look around closely we will see it in other places as well. Meaning that those of us who have been chosen - can see the truth and God's work in motion. I have read the entire bible, studied it for some time as well - and those of us who have, know the ending. That ending could and will not have happen unless we all do our part. Starting right in our own homes, with our own children, families, businesses, schools, etc. WE are UNITY and WE are the seeds of God's work in his master plan! I am excited to be a part of it and I know that I am a part because of the Love I have for God and mankind. It hurts me to hear the stories of what my children have seen in public schools, what they have seen on TV, etc. However, I have fought back and pulled every weed, everytime where I see evil trying to grow weeds in my garden. Every time I see evil trying, I correct it with my words and back it up with the words of God written in the Bible. I show my children the proof that God exsists, I explain to them that being Gay is not acceptable in the eyesite of God, I explain to them about having sex before marriage - etc. all the attacks that come in our daily lives. My family has been strengthened and God has received the victory. I know that what I do, and how we live in the Robert's household - is what is good in the eyesite of God and as long as I am alive and well, will continue. I am a warrior of God and I fight everyday, starting right here in my own household and everywhere I go and everywhere I post, my intentions and deeds are all in alignment with the word of God and his goals for me that only strengthen the UNITY of his Master Plan.

I've never been to hubpages.com and don't know anything about it but is it ironic that the hub you have created is about HUB...His Unified Body?!

I used to live in Chicago and they had a group up their called H.U.B. who would do prayer meetings which is what I was trying to search for. Anyway, blessings to you.

A wise man once said nothing! I am not that wise, so I will only say a little. Unity of the Body is only achievable when we are connected to each other and recieve instruction from the head. Our most powerful tool to achieve unity in the Body is for all of us to become one with Him. Unity is achievable. My question is who wants it?

We must accept the truth that we are all brothers and sisters in Christ. There is not one way of doing church that is any better than to simply preach the gospel, and show love! Everything else is for personal edification and gratification. In many cases, our sinful hearts get offended far too easily! I agree with you that we must become one with him! My question is how many bold leaders we have to become one in spreading the Unity message.

Came across this artical by accident, (as if anything by God is a accident) And although it reads great, has a nice flow to it and everything you say is of course true. However what you are explaining will never happen, at least not until Jesus returns and starts His reign for a thousand years, and then even when he does, it will not happen until satan and his demons are thrown into the pit for keeps burning for all eternity. I am sure you are aware that when Christ retuns satan is thrown into the pit. I am also sure you are aware that he is also let out for a short time after that time, and he will go about his business once more, when he does many will be decieved and many will fall away from Christ again. The problem with the "Christian Faith" is not us the followers, its "Christ Himself"

Jesus is who He says He is. He always has been and always will be, and thats the problem. People have always questioned, and always rejected Him and some of what He says, including the body. Although churches come together in unity at face value, thats all it is "face value" deep down those divisions you talk about are still and will always be there, they smile nod their heads, make polite noises and protray all is well. "ALL IS NOT WELL". And the reason it is not, is because at face value they join together with their minds. Missing out that all important and absolute vital factor "THEIR HEARTS". satan was not content in Heaven for God "The Creator" Of All And Everything to share out His own Glory. satan decided a share was not enough and that he himself should be worshipped and glorified. "What Total Pride and Arrogance". Its still the same today, people suffer from Pride including most people in the Kingdom. And alot of that is within "Leadership".

That is why churches cannot come together, however within the chaos, within the content of the churches, "The Body Does Come Together" And it does so "SPIRITUALLY", also within that chaos, that confusion and the arrogance of some leaderships, Gods Perfect Plan, Perfect Will and Perfect Timing, is being followed, And it is being Lead and Headed by our Perfect Saviour "Christ Jesus" In and through His Wonderful Holy Spirit. Gods Will "Will Be Done". Amen.

Thanks for the comment Kevin. Yes I do realize that the church will never be fully united until Jesus return. I'm sure that it can go a long ways from the state that it's in now! I am not very old, but the condition of our culture in the last few decades has gotten really bad from where it was. My entire family is deceived into believing that there is no god, and we evolved here over millions of years ago. That all changed for me eight years ago, but so many that I know are brain washed and at times I have felt extremely frustrated! I have a hard time accepting how sick and twisted our world has become. The average family today is so messed up all the counselling in the world would not fix it. Our public schools are a disaster! School did nothing for me! I did not learn anything until I twenty years old and went to college for up-grading. Drugs, sex and rock and roll is still the thoughts of so many young people today.

I know there is nothing I can do about any of this on my own. There are a lot of believers out there and most will never see how bad things are! Or be in any great position to change anything. God put in on my heart to write about it... so I did.

What bothers me the most is the attitude so many believers have about church unity. The disarray and church splits today is sickening to me!
